Enjoy the scenic splendor of an Umtamvuna river sunset cruise, the adrenalin pumping exhilaration of a surging speed boat, or simply laze on a deck chair on a sun-soaked beach. Whatever your idea of fun, set your soul soaring at the Wild Coast Sun's Waterworld. We are open 09:00 to 17:00 every day!

The Spellbound Gambler II
double-deck river boat will take you on a river cruise which is perfect for
those who want something less energetic after a hard day in the sun.

The word Umtamvuna means “reaper of mouthfuls” because of the damage its flood water can cause to crops. And it is said that any people failing to confess their sins before fording the river, will be carried away by the water spirits.
So it is just as well to remain on board, relax and watch the scenery glide by.

At the mouth of the Umtamvuna River, there is the excitement of water-skiing, and speed boat rides plus we have the following crafts available for hire: family boats, wake snakes, jet skis, aqua-scooters, motor boats, canoes, paddle boats and tube rides for the kids. The river is wide and unpolluted and winding between high cliffs clothed in indigenous forest.

Expert instructors are available and Water World has a comfortable club house close to the river banks, with superb views from its shady terrace, a snack bar, cloak rooms and a water sports accessories shop.

Above, the Cape vultures wheel gracefully on warm air thermals, as the river flows past fish eagle nests and deserted sandy shoals where plovers and wagtails patrol the water’s edge, and onto the lagoon–protected mouth with its rare mangrove swamps.
